Originally from Scarborough, Stephanie Reid completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on an athletic (Softball) scholarship. She is currently completing her MSc in Kinesiology (Integrative Physiology & Exercise Nutrition) at Western University, is the assistant coach for the UWO Women’s Softball team, and a Strength and Conditioning coach at Empower Conditioning.
Through her graduate studies, Stephanie hopes to further understand the effects of exercise, especially sprint interval exercise (very high intensity exercise) on cardiovascular health. As a Strength and Conditioning coach, one of her beliefs is that through rigorous training, athletes will become more focused and will be able to push themselves beyond their personal limits. She believes that there is always room for improvement and that character is built when you push the limits.
