After initially starting a degree in biochemistry and genetics at Western University, Lisa completed a BSc Honours degree in Nutrition and Nutraceutical sciences from the University of Guelph as well as a BSc Honours degree in Food and Nutrition from Brescia University College, and has graduated from their MSc Foods & Nutrition program, where she also completed her registered dietitian internship.
Since 2003, Lisa has been working in the health and fitness field as a personal trainer, sports trainer and nutrition coach. In 2012, following her passion for nutrigenomics, Lisa began working with Nutrigenomix (R), a University of Toronto spin-off company that enables registered dietitians to offer nutrigenomic testing to their clients. She also began NutriGeneRD in 2012 to address need for personalized gene-based nutrition. Due to the increased demand for nutrition services, Lisa incorporated Nutrition Professionals o Canada (NutriProCan) in 2015 with several business partners. Lisa is also a course lecturer at Brescia University College in London, ON, in the division of Food and Nutrition.
