Danielle Battram, PhD, RD is an Assistant Professor at Brescia University College in the Division of Food and Nutritional Sciences at Western University. She obtained all her degrees at the University of Guelph, in the areas of Human Metabolism, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. She is also a Registered Dietitian. Her research over the past 5 years has included community-based programming focused on the prevention of both adult and childhood obesity.
At present, Dr Battram holds a grant from the Goodlife Kids Foundation in collaboration with the London District Catholic School board, Western University, and the London Children’s Hospital. This program, entitled “NSTEP Eat, Walk, Live” has taken a whole school community approach and encourages children, their families and school staff to eat better, walk often, and live healthier lives.
