Andy O’Brien, MS, CSCS, CES
Andy has been servicing professional athletes for nearly 20 years. He is the current Director of Sport Science and Performance with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and previously served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Florida Panthers from 2005 to 2009. He has consulted for Professional and National level organizations in hockey, tennis, figure skating, and swimming on performance methodologies.
As a strength and conditioning coach, Andy is recognized for his experience with some of the world’s most successful athletes, including numerous Olympic medalists, World Champions, World Record Holders, and Major Sport MVP’s.
Most recently, Andy’s work has focused on the identification of physical performance indicators in the game of hockey, to serve as the basis for future models of training and development.
