John Berardi
CEO, Precision Nutrition
John Berardi, PhD, CSCS is a co-founder of Precision Nutrition. He’s an advisor to Apple, Equinox, Nike, and Titleist. He has columns on Livestrong.com and The Huffington Post.com. And was recently selected as one of the 20 smartest fitness professionals in the world and 100 most influential people in fitness. Over the last 10 years, Precision Nutrition has become the world’s largest online nutrition coaching and certification company.

Dan Garner
Founder, Team Garner
Dan Garner is the owner and founder of Team Garner and the head strength coach and nutrition specialist for both HockeyTraining.com and BaseballTraining.com (https://coachgarner.com/). Specializing and delivering consistent world-class results in physique transformation and athletic performance, he has worked with athletes from the youth leagues through the NHL, NFL, MLB and UFC. His athletes have won UFC World Titles, Superbowls, Bodybuilding/Bikini championships, and have broken world records. Dan has also worked with many top business executives and Hollywood actors on lifestyle optimization; helping them improve on everything from increasing their daily productivity to getting their mental performance as sharp as possible for a Netflix stand-up comedy special. He is an international lecturer on sports nutrition and has been featured in several major media outlets. Peter Lemon
Director, Exercise & Nutrition Research Lab
Pete Lemon, PhD, FACSM completed his undergraduate education at McMaster University and his graduate studies at the Universities of Windsor and Wisconsin-Madison. From 1979 to 1997, he was on the faculty at Ohio’s Kent State University working in the Applied Physiology Research Laboratory, most recently as the laboratory director. In January of 1998, Dr. Lemon became the first recipient of the Weider Research Chair in Exercise Nutrition at The University of Western Ontario.
He mentors graduate students, lectures, and conducts research on the health and performance effects of exercise training and proper nutrition/supplementation. A former university athlete, he remains involved in athletics as the head coach of the Western women’s fastpitch softball team. Dr. Lemon is married and has two adult daughters.

Gillian Mandich
PhD
Gillian Mandich, PhD research area include happiness and health. She is a TEDx and keynote speaker, appears regularly as the resident Happiness Expert on The Social and Breakfast Television, and writes for numerous print and online media.

Lindsay Nagamatsu
Asssistant Professor, Western University
Lindsay Nagamatsu, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology at Western University. Her research focuses on cognitive aging within two contexts: 1) Cognitive impairment as a risk factor for falls; and 2) How executive cognitive functioning might be improved through physical activity. To do so, she employs advanced neuroimaging techniques (ERPs and fMRI) to examine cognitive processing in older adults.

Eva Pila
Assistant Professor, Western University
Eva Pila, PhD is an Assistant Professor at Western University in the School of Kinesiology. She has a longstanding interest in body image and women’s health, and her research is focused on exploring affective phenomena on health outcomes and behaviours such as diet, exercise, and sport participation. She is currently working to develop and implement compassion-focused interventions among individuals at risk of body- and weight-related concerns, and has been involved with various community projects to promote healthy balanced living and positive body image.

Manuel Quinones
PhD (candidate)
Manuel Quinones is a nutrition and exercise physiology professor in the FHP program at Fanshawe College. He is also a PhD candidate in exercise nutrition in the School of Kinesiology at Western University under the supervision of Dr. Pete Lemon. His research focuses on examining the effects of carbohydrate and ketone supplements on exercise performance and body fat loss.

Graeme Thomas
Professor, Fitness & Health Promotion Fanshawe College
A native of Montreal and former varsity baseball player at McGill University, Graeme moved to London, Ontario to pursue a graduate degree in exercise physiology and sports nutrition.
A lover of all things fitness and technology related, Graeme spends his time as a professor in the Fitness and Health promotion department at Fanshawe college and moonlighting as a web developer on the side. Currently in the midst of overhauling the Fitness & Health Promotion program, the team at Fanshawe is rolling out curriculum changes designed to set the standards for personal training education in Ontario.

Initiated in 2002, Western Softball has won 12 Ontario championships (two 2nd place finishes and two 3rd place finishes). In addition, we have won 5 National titles, finished 2nd twice, 3rd once, and 4th twice.
