John Berardi
CEO, Precision Nutrition
John Berardi, PhD, CSCS is a co-founder of Precision Nutrition. He’s an advisor to Apple, Equinox, Nike, and Titleist. He has columns on Livestrong.com and The Huffington Post.com. And was recently selected as one of the 20 smartest fitness professionals in the world and 100 most influential people in fitness. Over the last 10 years, Precision Nutrition has become the world’s largest online nutrition coaching and certification company.

Jennifer Broxterman
MSc, RD
Jennifer Broxterman, MSc, RD studied at both Queen’s and Western. She is a Precision Nutrition Certified Nutrition Coach and an active member of both the Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
In 2011, she founded NutritionRx, a professional one on one nutrition consulting practice that strives to provide clients with the knowledge, skills, and individualized solutions they require to look, feel, and perform at their very best. Jennifer follows a “non-dieting” philosophy within her nutrition business that encourages clients to become intuitive eaters, in touch with their bodies’ natural hunger and satiety cues to achieve a healthy weight.
A former varsity hockey player, rower, and National class Crossfit athete, Jennifer maintains a very high level of personal fitness. She instructs several classes at Brescia University College and is married to Dave Henry, Owner and Head Coach of Crossfit London.

David Coate
CPA, CA
David graduated with honours from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. In 2009, he was a member of the Ontario University Athletic (OUA) silver medal-winning varsity squash team.
After graduation, David spent a year working and traveling in Australia. Upon his return, he began his career while working towards the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) designations; becoming a fully accredited CPA, CA in 2014. David has also completed the Life Licence Qualification Program (LLQP). He joined CIBC Wood Gundy in 2016 as an Associate Estate Planning Specialist.
David is an avid traveler, having mostly recently spent four months in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, including a month volunteering at rural schools in Cambodia. He is a diehard tennis fan and has been a spectator at all four of the sports major tournaments. In his spare time, he continues to train and compete in local, provincial and national squash events.

Jordan Crampton
CFP, CLU
Jordan graduated with honours from Iowa Wesleyan University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Sport Management. He was a 4-year letter winner in Men’s Golf at Iowa Wesleyan University which included being awarded their Blue Chip Athletic Scholarship recipient each year. Upon graduation Jordan received the Lifetime Honorary Captain award for his dedication, sportsmanship and character that exemplifies the spirit of being an Iowa Wesleyan University Student-Athlete.
After spending a year working in the professional golf industry with the LPGA and PGA Tours respectively, he joined the CIBC through their President’s Choice Financial division as a Personal Banking Representative. He began working with CIBC Wood Gundy Financial Services Inc. as an Estate Planning Assistant in April 2010. Jordan became Life Insurance Licensed in November 2010, became an Associate Estate Planning Specialist in November 2011 and joined John Robinson as a partner and Estate Planning Specialist in November 2015. Jordan earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in July 2014 and his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in May 2016.
In his spare time Jordan is an avid golfer, member and past Club Champion of Sunningdale Golf and Country Club located in London, ON. He enjoys competing at the local, provincial and national level and has played in Amateur and Mid-Amateur events hosted by the Golf Association of Ontario, Golf Canada and the United States Golf Association.

Tom Hazell
Assistant Professor, University of Laurier
Tom Hazell, PhD, completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University and his graduate work at the Universities of Windsor and Western Ontario. Following his graduate studies Tom was spent time as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at McGill University in the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Lethbridge (Alberta). He is now an Assistant Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo where his funded research program studies the effects of exercise on energy balance with a goal to better understand how exercise can be used to reduce body fat effectively. Specific interests are the effect of biological sex and exercise intensity on energy intake and energy expenditure. Similar to his mentor, Dr. Lemon, Tom mentors graduate students and teaches courses related to exercise physiology and nutrition.

Peter Lemon
Director, Exercise & Nutrition Research Lab
Pete Lemon, PhD, FACSM completed his undergraduate education at McMaster University and his graduate studies at the Universities of Windsor and Wisconsin-Madison. From 1979 to 1997, he was on the faculty at Ohio’s Kent State University working in the Applied Physiology Research Laboratory, most recently as the laboratory director. In January of 1998, Dr. Lemon became the first recipient of the Weider Research Chair in Exercise Nutrition at The University of Western Ontario.
He mentors graduate students, lectures, and conducts research on the health and performance effects of exercise training and proper nutrition/supplementation. A former university athlete, he remains involved in athletics as the head coach of the Western women’s fastpitch softball team. Dr. Lemon is married and has two adult daughters.

Stephanie Paplinskie
MA, CSCS
Stephanie holds a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Western University, during which she worked as the first female assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach to the Western Football Team. Stephanie continues to work as a strength and conditioning coach, specializing in resistance training during and after pregnancy — launching her own company, StrongHer Fitness, dedicated to pre natal and post partum fitness. Stephanie is currently a part-time course instructor at Western University (Kinesiology) and Fanshawe College (Fitness & Health Promotion, Massage Therapy, Language & Liberal Studies), while also pursuing her PhD in the Exercise and Pregnancy Lab under Dr. Michelle Mottola.

Graeme Thomas
Professor, Fitness & Health Promotion Fanshawe College
A native of Montreal and former varsity baseball player at McGill University, Graeme moved to London, Ontario to pursue a graduate degree in exercise physiology and sports nutrition.
A lover of all things fitness and technology related, Graeme spends his time as a professor in the Fitness and Health promotion department at Fanshawe college and moonlighting as a web developer on the side. Currently in the midst of overhauling the Fitness & Health Promotion program, the team at Fanshawe is rolling out curriculum changes designed to set the standards for personal training education in Ontario.

Eric Williamson
MSc, RD, PhD student
Eric is Registered Dietitian, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as the founder and head coach of Unlocked Fitness and Nutrition. He holds an MSc and is currently pursuing a PhD in the area of Exercise Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Toronto. Unlocked Fitness and Nutrition helps people accelerate the process of finding the most effective nutrition and exercise strategies that work for them while balancing the many other important areas of their lives.

Initiated in 2002, Western Softball has won 12 Ontario championships (two 2nd place finishes and two 3rd place finishes). In addition, we have won 5 National titles, finished 2nd twice, 3rd once, and 4th twice.
